Let me introduce myself, I'm Tanya from "DIY Shabby Chic" I have been running a number of very popular and fun courses in DIY shabby chic furniture for all ages with great success in the Brighton and Hove area and would love for all you budding interior designers to join me at one of my workshops.
I have a back ground in antiques & the theater, I love flamboyance with a touch of gilt & an overall interest in everything feminine chic that is Shabby chic bringing you "The DIY Shabby Chic Workshops" as well as furniture & commissions. My hands on workshops include furniture painting, stenciling, gilding, crackle glaze, decoupage & antique wax techniques. I will be extending my workshop repertoire to exterior painting workshop, transfers for furniture & fabric, lamp shades, terrapieno embossing, foiling, glazing, patina and upholstery. I have been renovating furniture for a number of years using several different techniques to create that regal French look and I am now sharing my skills with others who want to learn the art or taking something old and giving it that wow factor. As well as the popular workshops I also revamp rooms, and have my own collection of refurbished furniture for sale. I take particular interest in sourcing unusual items for customers and doing commissions.
